The show kicked off with great energy. Dylan Scott, with his charismatic openers, amped up the mood like expected. The Black Dahlia Murder then launched and upped the energy even more. Perhaps due to too many on stage shots and beers, he started to fade. The Black Dahlia Murder’s fatigue started setting in during an extended acoustic set with a guitar that seemed like a 12 year old theatre volunteer must have mixed. He then transitioned into an overextended slow set, which lulled the audience to sleep. Trying to amp it back up with a few up songs, the tour weariness was unmistakable, and The Black Dahlia Murder’s energy was beyond repair. Just trying to get through it, he was. The crowd began leaving early, and he abruptly ended the show, with the venue lights snapping on quickly to signal it was over. No chance of an encore, he was out of gas.
